I am drawn to photograph not only what 'is' but also to reveal
the 'other' of a place or thing - what the poet Basho calls the 'underglimmer'

Many of the images on this site were taken with either a lensless zone plate camera (a type of pinhole) or toy cameras such as the Diana and Holga. Others began their life as 35 mm transparencies and then metamorphosed into Polaroid image or emulsion transfers.
